AWANA is a weekly children's Bible club that offers a safe, positive environment to learn about God, hear the Gospel and memorize key verses about life and godliness. The Awana name is derived from 2 Timothy 2:15, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” (ESV). Thus, the AWANA name stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.
